Vivint has a long and rich history, beginning with their inception in 1999 by founder Todd Pedersen. For the first decade of its company history, Vivint was known as APX Alarm, but a rebranding effort in 2010 resulted in their current company name. Products

Vivint revolutionized home security in October of 2009 by introducing the Go!Control panel, which features a touch screen and is capable of home automation.
